I was raised in Northern California in rural Yuba City. I was formally known as Andre, I adopted the name Dre after moving to Costa Mesa in 2009. I spent my teen years listening to rock and screamo music so going to tons of shows was inevitable. Constantly aiming to have hair similar to the rock stars. Little did I know I would fall in love with it and it would take me around the world.

Growing up I didn’t think much of doing for others as a career. I helped lighten hair and did a couple haircuts. It wasn’t until a day in art class in my senior year till a friend mentioned I should go to hair school. A year after high school I worked at a tattoo shop and still had the idea to go to hair school. After that year I decided to sign up for school. Excited but nervous because I didn’t have a clue if it was something I would love or even be good at.
